The Wollondilly Heritage Centre and Museum is open from 10am to 3pm on weekends and public holidays.
The Wollondilly Heritage Centre and Museum is a repository for archives, records and objects relating to the early development of the villages in Wollondilly shire. Exhibitions on display incorporate these objects and include the stories of our early pioneers and how they shaped life in our local area.
Included in the collection are extensive photographic records, family history and local history, specialised collection such as Burragorang, Yerranderie, Coal Mining and indigenous history of the Gundungurra people.

Judy Hannan MP wrote, "at the launch of 'Dairying in Wollondilly' publication, President Trish Hill reminded us that this place is 'our place’, for all the community to learn, share and enjoy. Trish of course refers to a hidden gem in our community, The Wollondilly Heritage Centre & Museum, The Oaks Historical Society Inc.

The Collectors Series
Are you a collector? Do you have a collection of something that means a lots to you?
What is a Collector?........A Collector is: someone who collects certain things for a job or as a hobby.
We are running a new small display in the front foyer named: “The Collectors Series” We’d like to hear from you if you have an interesting collection that would suit the Heritage Centres Historical themes. We would like in the future to display a small part of your collection with some information and a spotlight of your journey as the collector!
If you would like to be involved, then please send an email outlining what you collect and a brief description of it with some of the History of the pieces and why you started collecting it..

NEWS
The History Council NSW Annual History Awards were announced recently at a ceremony in the Chau Chak Wing Museum, University of Sydney in front of more than 85 members and guests who helped celebrate the winners achievements.
The awardee is Kazan Brown for her submission works into the raising of the Warragamba Dam Wall and her beautiful associated artworks.
Our Patron- Judy Hannan MP
Our Patron Judy Hannan MP visited us recently. Judy congratulated the volunteers on the successful NSW Government Community Building Partnership Grant we received for our Agricultural Shed. This grant will enable us to complete some much needed structural maintenance in the future.
