Christine’s love for collecting comes from a motivation to preserve a moment in time and a way to record hers and others history which forms a sense of continuity over time.
Christine has been collecting items since she can remember at 9 years of age. Her first remembered collection was her stamp collection which started in 1960. Christine has collected many things over her life time such as lapel pins, membership badges, all her sporting achievement trophies and awards and school records. Christine loves memorabilia of all sorts and as she travelled the world collected small mementos of the countries she travelled.
Closer to home Christine collected coaster and matches of the social outings with friends and family and would often record who she was with, date and occasion on the coaster.
Photos are another passion of collecting which started in 1999-26 years ago when Camden High School had a reunion of ex-students and Christine put together as many photos of classes as she could gather. Christine then went onto to gather photos for reunions at Camden Public schools 150th anniversary, The Oaks Public school, Camden South Public school and The Oaks Preschool.
